Skinning is a major profession for yourself and others. To skin a monster, kill it, then right click on it. This is usually only able to be done on a beast, but some humanoids and other mobs are able to be skinned. You can either receive leather, scraps of leather, or some type of hide. Skinning like any other profession levels over time. Something with grey, green, yellow, or orange skinning symbol can be skinned, but something with red is to high level for you to skin.
